The problem

Your strategy probably isn't broken. Your discipline is.

Most traders don't blow up because they can't read a chart. They blow up because of what they do after a red trade. The revenge entry, the size that's twice too big, the position they should have closed an hour ago. You already know this. You feel it the second after you click. Discipline is built for that second after.

A great mentor is the shortcut every trader wishes they could afford and most never will. Discipline puts that same coaching in your hands, on your own trades, every evening.

We don't promise profit. We promise you'll stop giving it away.

Every other journal sells you more money. We won't. Profit isn't something we hand you it's what's left when you stop sabotaging the edge you already have. Fix the behavior, and the numbers follow on their own.

What we're not

Not another stats dashboard. A discipline system.

Auto-sync and six hundred metrics tell you what happened. They don't tell you why you keep doing the thing that hurts you. Discipline starts where the numbers stop at your behavior. It reads your executions for the patterns that actually drain accounts, names them out loud, and gives you a structured way to coach yourself out of them.

Reflection before and after the bell

By design

disciplina. is built before and after the bell
when you can actually think.

disciplina. meets you in the two moments your head is clear: the prep before the market open, and the review after the close. That’s where a plan gets set and where a session becomes a lesson.
The middle of a trade is for executing what you already decided not for figuring it out.
disciplina. works on either side of the noise, where thinking actually happens.

The loop

Three screens. One loop. You, getting harder to fool.

Every session runs the same rhythm. See it, sit with it, hear it back.

01
Dashboard

The honest mirror.

See where you make money and where you give it back. Not a vanity screen with your P&L blown up at the top: the Dashboard shows the state of your discipline how often your flags fire and when, your pre-market edge against your midday damage, how frequently the Toxic Combo shows up, and the tickers you keep anchoring to. It tells you the truth before you're ready to hear it.

02
Day Review

Where the coaching happens.

Turn “I lost” into “here's what I told myself before I clicked.” The Cognitive Trace walks you through three columns: the Situation, the Self-talk running underneath it, and the Consequences, so a loss stops being a number and becomes a lesson. Toggle a quick note or a full trace, go deep on one Standout Trade, and let the journal suggest which trades are worth your attention.

AI Recap

The voices that hand you back to yourself.

It doesn't tell you what to do. It asks the question you've been avoiding. Your session, read back in the spirit of four traders who spent their lives on this exact problem. Paul Tudor Jones, Jesse Livermore, Mark Douglas, and Brett Steenbarger. No signal. No prediction. A mirror. The AI is the engine; the work is still yours.

The mechanisms

The mechanics of getting honest with yourself.

Discipline doesn't lecture. It catches specific behaviors, names them precisely, and hands you the tools to work through them.

Discipline Flags

Revenge entries, loss chasing, oversized positions, runaway trades, daily-limit breaches. Each one is named the moment it happens not buried three menus deep inside a statistic. You can't fix what you can't see.

Cognitive Trace

The self-coaching framework drawn from Brett Steenbarger's work. Situation, self-talk, consequences. The difference between “I lost again” and understanding the exact thought that pulled the trigger.

Toxic Combo — your real pathology

Here's what most tools get wrong. A runaway trade on its own is often your edge long holds at normal size win more than 75% of the time. Oversized on its own is roughly neutral. The account-killer is the two together: oversized and runaway at once. Discipline flags that exact combination for what it is, instead of scaring you about everything at once.

AI Recap in four voices

Reflection, not prophecy. Four legendary perspectives on the same session so you can coach yourself the way they would have.

Standout Trade

One trade, examined properly, with its own mini Cognitive Trace. Depth beats breadth when you're actually trying to change.

Trades worth journaling

The journal points you at the sessions that have something to teach. You don't have to write up everything, just the trades that matter. Reflection stays sustainable instead of becoming the chore you quit by Friday.

Why it was built

Built to change behavior. Grounded in trading psychology, not hype.

Mark DouglasThe disciplined trader

Most journals were built by engineers to count numbers. Discipline was built around one research-backed truth: the biggest leak in a trader's account isn't strategy it's behavior under pressure. The Cognitive Trace is drawn from the cognitive-behavioral methods used in serious trading psychology.

The way Discipline names mistakes instead of hiding them grows out of the work of Brett Steenbarger and Mark Douglas. Two people who understood that the trader's real opponent is internal. We didn't invent the psychology. We built the tool that puts it in your hands every evening.

The method is grounded in research. The app doesn't claim to scientifically increase your profits it claims to put a proven reflection method in your hands.

Philosophy

You are the point.
The AI is the background.

There's no shortage of tools that promise to trade for you, think for you, save you from yourself. This isn't one of them. Everything the software does every flag, every trace, every recap exists to put you back in front of your own mistake with enough clarity to change. The work is yours.
We just make sure you can't look away.
